Briefs: AT&T wins Patelco Credit Union contract
AT&T said Wednesday it has won a three-year contract from Patelco Credit Union to provide its network services.
The telecommunications group will be delivering network-based virtual private network services for network connections across the San Francisco-based credit union's 37 branches nationwide.
"We wanted to explore Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) but also needed to update our disaster-recovery system," John Shields, chief information officer at Patelco Credit Union, said in a news release. "Through AT&T companies, we're confident we'll be able to achieve expanded capabilities with increased security at a cost-effective rate," he added.
Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
