Briefs: AOL, Intel tie up on home entertainment

January 6, 2006

AOL said Friday its digital entertainment services will be tailored to Intel's latest platform to make content viewing easier on TV sets and other devices.

"This new initiative extends AOL's leadership in the on-demand video space, which includes an extensive library of original and licensed videos," Jon Miller, chairman of America Online, said in a news release.

"Together with Intel and the Intel Viiv technology platform, we are creating new ways for consumers to watch and interact with content by bringing a high-quality, on-demand media experience into the living room," he added.
