Burnham Institute
The Burnham Institute for Medical Research (Burnham Institute) traces its origin to 1976 with the founding of the La Jolla Cancer Research Foundation. Today, the Burnham Institute is headquartered in La Jolla, California with auxiliary sites in Santa Barbara, California and the Orlando Florida area. Burnham Institute is affiliated with numerous separates institutes and medical centers focused on the fundamental molecular cause of disease with the intent to invent treatment therapies. Burnham Institute is directly or indirectly involved with 300+ peer review medical studies annually. Burnham's original focus in cancer research emphasis is on-going and is expanding exponentially in other diseases with an additional component in stem cell research.
