Drexel Research in Cytokines Could Treat Sepsis

Researchers from Drexel University and the University of Brighton in the U.K. have achieved groundbreaking results, which may significantly improve the treatment of sepsis. Their article, entitled “Mesoporous Carbide-Derived Carbon with Porosity Tuned for Efficient Adsorption of Cytokines,” has been published online and will be opening the December issue of Biomaterials (v. 27, pp. 5755–5762, 2006).
